Matt Sadinsky is founder and CEO of Prequalified Ready Employees for Power PReP Intl since 2009; founder and former CEO/Chairman of SOS Intl, NERC’s largest approved continuing education provider from 2002-2012. SOS Intl brought multi-modal TM content delivery including real-time simulation to over 18,000 operators and engineers at over 1100 client utilities. PReP Intl serves cities, utilities and infrastructure orgs.
Prequalified Ready Employees for Power Intl (PReP Intl) was launched in 2009 to match veterans, grads, experts and pros to “hot jobs” in Energy Technology (ET). PReP Intl brings technologies leveraging social media, assessment, video and simulation to HR and recruiting functions for speed, quality, compliance and reliability translating into effective onboarding of vets, grads and professionals in real-time.
Matt earned his BS ILR from Cornell University and began his career with ten years in manufacturing at Continental Can Company. Matt served as VP HR with David Gunn at the NYC Transit Authority in the early 1990’s. That team rid the NYC subways of graffiti, tripled the mean distance between failures and restored the system to a state of good repair. Matt has held Chief HR officer roles at large, global organizations like Alcatel Alstom and Vivendi-Universal’s Interactive Games group. Matt was the first HR/OD architect at NC start-ups: Magellan Laboratories, PERGO Flooring and GridSouth – the FERC Approved RTO for the Southeastern US.
Matt Sadinsky publishes and speaks frequently on Systems Thinking, OD, leading transformation, improving leadership and decision making through simulation. Matt’s paper on “Building a Culture of Compliance” at the World Forum for Energy Regulation in Athens, Greece in October 2009 was followed by the keynote address at the National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET) on the importance and relevance of adding Energy Technology “ET” curriculum to community colleges in 2010. In 2017, Matt helped launch career-snapshots now incorporated in Prosperity Design Labs and has served on the Advisory Board at the Olympic HS Academy for Advanced Manufacturing since 2011 promoting critical thinking skills and experiences.
In 2012, Matt served on the Department of Energy – Electric Advisory Committee Task Force developing recommendations to assure system reliability through more effective talent management and workforce development. Matt and PReP Intl are members of E4 the Carolinas focused on developing Leadership in C, U & I organizations for affordable sustainable, reliable, resilient efficient use of energy and other resources for performance and sustainability. As Chair of the HR Professionals in Energy Forum, Matt facilitated programs with nationally recognized speakers to help E4C members elevate the HR function to better meet the needs of tomorrow. Matt wrote a chapter on Career Education in Beyond Connecting the Dots: Modeling for Meaningful Results, 2013, demonstrating the value of STEM education and modelling in career choice.
PReP Intl has historically worked with the Electric Power Conference organizers to document and celebrate successes utilities, schools and veterans’ organizations achieve through collaboration in onboarding veterans in Energy organizations. Matt served as Director Government Affairs for the Charlotte Area Society of Human Resources (CASHRM), bringing career readiness speakers to 31 local high schools and 11 academies. Matt is an advocate of HR in Real Time as a way of assuring quality and speed in execution, especially in aligning sourcing, recruiting and onboarding with compensation. PReP Intl has a track record of providing quality hires in real time for cities and the energy industry. Leadership must play an important coordinating culture building role in managing Vigilance, Agility and Resilience (VAR) for JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion).
Matt has five grown adult children and twin grandsons, served as an assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 119, was a Commissioner at the initial National BSA Jamboree, and served as a Unit Commissioner in the Apache District in Mecklenburg County Council. Matt is a native New Yorker based in Charlotte, NC by choice where he is active in local and state politics and serves on several not-for-profit boards.
